A rock soul studies the stars

She loved music from an early age. As a reactive and punk nature – plus a Sagittarius – she loved freedom and margins. She went through periods of Mohican or shaved hair, took her name from the singer of her then favourite Bauhaus goth rock band, Daniel Ash - so Nicoletta became Asi - and gave her heart forever to David Bowie. Asi Biliou is a rock soul, always passionate about music and with her eyes on the stars.  

Carelessness and loss
Her first recollections of life are defined by the feeling of love, which united her parents from the age of 18 and which was offered to her unlimitedly. The dreamy childhood years ended abruptly, when her father passed away when she was just at the age of nine. Ten years later, on the exact same date, his mother passed away too and the then 19-year-old Asi Biliou received a second big slap in the face and realised that in this life, what we actually have is just ourselves.
This awareness was a guide in her subsequent course. Despite the urging of her mother, who revealed to her at the age of 16 the fact of her adoption, she didn’t want to seek support from her biological parents. She forgave them and got ahead alone.

When music became a profession
She studied French Language and Literature, while at the same time she was working as a children’s tutor and in various other jobs - from a cashier in a souvlaki restaurant to an employee in an import-export company. Until the early '90s, she managed to make her love for music profession. She came in contact with Click Fm and radio came into her life. 
She lived with love and devotion during her period in the radio, working at the same time in record companies and always having foreign music at her core. Back then, Astrology was part of her life only as a hobby and as a world that always fascinated her, but she hadn’t yet immersed herself in its essence.
The fall of foreign music on Greek radio brought a new upheaval in her life. Within a week she was called to face a layoff and a pay cut. At that point, she pushed herself with passion, but also with skepticism, into astrology, to realise that a new strong sign by the universe was able to direct her to find her way. And then, everything started to flow.
 
The journey to astrology
She studied astrology in the UK and slowly began to write about the stars in newspapers and magazines. TV came into her life in 2001, while in 2003 she started being visited at her office and from 2006 she started her own TV shows.
For Asi Biliou, astrology is a fascinating journey that never stops, that is constantly evolving and that always hides new mysteries and discoveries; a journey that evolves into present, past and future, that requires constant study and exploration and is worth every effort.
Astrology for her is neither an alibi for what we didn’t do, nor a pardon for any wrong choices. Astrology is not even the zodiac signs, which, as she characteristically says, doesn’t believe. 
What she actually believes in, is people themselves along with their choices and the help they can get from astrology to see their lives differently. She emphasises that no astrologist can control everything and in a country that may have used to look for Pythias, she states: "I am not a Pythia".
