The leading Greek singer, George Dalaras, who loved music as a child and wanted to explore it, made his first public appearance as a singer and guitarist in 1965 at the age of 15.
Just three years later, he recorded his first album, starting an amazing career that included over 85 personal records. At the same time, he participated in the recording of more than 140 records as a performer, musician and producer, thus managing to express a large part of his music adventure.
Since 1968, his name has been associated with great songs and significant collaborations with leading Greek artists. Stavros Kougioumtzis, Manos Loizos, Apostolos Kaldaras, Lefteris Papadopoulos, Manos Eleftheriou, Mikis Theodorakis, Giannis Markopoulos, Giannis Spanos, Christos Nikolopoulos, Akis Panou, Stavros Xarchakos, Thanos Mikroutsikos and Eleni Karaindrou are some of the many great artists that trusted him with their songs and he sang them to the souls of people.

Since 1981, he has given more than 1000 concerts in the biggest and most important concert venues worldwide, while he has collaborated with leading foreign artists such as Sting, Paco de Lucia, Al di Meola, Georges Moustaki, Ian Anderson, Goran Bregovic, Dulce Pontes, Emma Shapplin, Yasmin Levy and Deborah Myers.
Dalaras has also developed important social activity, such as the series of concerts he performed regarding the Cyprus dispute, which raised global awareness and influenced the public opinion and has been honored for both his artistic and social achievements with important awards.
